| Visenova - Available in a Variety of Finishes for Living Rooms, Bathrooms, Kitchens and Conservatories
Visenova is a resin-backed stone. The advantages of Visenova are that there is nearly no waste (estimated 2%), the fitting is like a Ceramic, transport is much cheaper, moving the stone is easy, it is light enough for most walls and breakages are nearly zero. 1) Variation in shade and veining is a major characteristic of natural marble. This is why
it is highly recommendable that the client should approve a certain set of tiles prior to
installation.
2) Natural marble is prone to wear and tear, stains and scratches, owing to its
composition. The characteristics of each marble variety should be compatible with the use
they are destined for.
3) In floors with lightly bevelled Visenova, joints are clearly noticeable and there can be
some lippage showing, especially in floors with no joints or with interlocked joints. In order
to have a smooth-looking floor we recommend using the special Visenova finish to be
polished on site.
4) The Visenova backing requires that the support of the floor be flat, dry and dust-free. A
C2 (fortified thin-set mortar) binding mortar should be used. Traditional wet mortar is totally
inappropriate since excessive humidity can result in tiles coming off.
5) Visenova is a product which requires the use of binding mortar only. Should adhesive
putty be used (polyurethane, silicone, MS, etc.), please contact our technical department
to discuss potential incompatibilities between the putty and the support choosen. The
Visenova technical department will provide an appropiate adhesive.
The supplier will not consider any post-installation complaints, for the very 5 reasons
mentioned above.
